Philosophy

I have built and shaped my reputation around the fundamental belief that everyone deserves an accomplished, highly-resourced and determined ally who can walk their own talk. I work collaboratively to mobilise your strengths and resources to empower you to solve your own problems, through a unique blend of psychotherapies, neuroscience & mindfulness. Learn more

 

Approach

If you are looking for a therapy that goes beyond talk and focuses on long-term change, rather than continually reviewing your past, then my approach is for you! I work by educating and actively integrating healthier coping strategies (including role playing through difficult situations). I offer short-term solution focused empowerment therapy, specifically designed to ensure you are equipped with the skills that you need to take back control of your life. 

My immersive energy brings a very unique approach to traditional therapy.  Simply put, my approach is specifically designed to:

1.    Identify and work through the root cause(s)

2.    Create and practice empowering strategies 

3.    Implementation with guidance and support 

This highly successful methodology utilises the latest scientific techniques to enable swift solutions that will transform your life. Ultimately, achieving a strong and confident long-term outlook.  I am also a passionate advocate for mindfulness and regularly interweave this into our work.

Experience…

Hi i’m Jay. I initially qualified (with honours) in CBT/REBT therapy (a combination of cognitive therapy and behavioural psychotherapy) at CCBT, Regents University.  My experience extends to clients at my three London clinics, and around the world, through my online practice.   I am registered on the NHS Choices approved listing for accredited therapists and counsellors, www.welldoing.org.

Research studies:  I'm finalising an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health with The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) at Kings College London.  I am a member of the National Counselling Society.

Clinical expertise:  I have a strong background using integrative and person-centred therapeutic approaches.  I also work at a private rehabilitation clinic in Notting Hill where I support clients with drug, alcohol, gambling, co-dependancy and food addictions. Here we apply cutting edge intervention techniques to addiction treatment by facilitating group therapy and psycho educational workshops.

My previous experience includes one of the largest and most well established mental health service providers in the UK, the Priory clinic.

Public speaking events: include GOOGLE, Amazon UK, Battersea Wellness, and regular workshops in treatment centres.

My journey...

...I moved from a successful career in investment management to pursue my passion in this field.  My personal journey, education and experience informs the way I connect to, understand and ultimately help people facilitate lasting emotional and behavioural change.

Self Empowerment Therapy can be seen as a short-term investment with lifelong benefits.

London (City), Liverpool Street: Longcroft House, 2-8 Victoria Avenue, Bishopsgate, London EC2M 4NS (1 minute walk from Liverpool Street station).  Fee: £125 per session.

London (West End), Oxford Street: Gosfield Street, London, W1W 6HE (7 minutes walk from Oxford Street & 8 minutes from Goodge Street).  Fee: £125 per session.

London (South West), Battersea: Ashbury Road, Battersea, SW11 5UH (12 minute walk from Clapham Junction Station or a short bus ride from Clapham Common tube station).  Fee: £110 per session.

Online therapy: I offer online therapy and consultations via telephone, Skype and FaceTime for clients across the UK and worldwide.  Please note this rate is only applicable to clients who complete the entirety of their therapy sessions online.  Fee: £110 per session. 

Couples therapy: Fee: £175 per session.

Corporate workshops/seminars: Prices available on request.
